Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Roommate. They apply to the roommate.ge website and to the Roommate mobile applications. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Roommate operates a platform that helps people in Georgia find rooms, apartments and people to share them with.
You can reach us at info@roommate.ge or on +995 557 536 030.
2. Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering you confirm that you are.
You must give accurate information about yourself and keep it up to date. You may hold only one account, and you may not create an account on someone else's behalf without their permission.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your password and for everything that happens through your account. Tell us immediately at info@roommate.ge if you believe someone else has access to it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, or that puts other people at risk.
4. Content and conduct
You own the content you post — your profile, photos, listings and messages. You give us permission to host and display it so the service can work.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything that is false, that belongs to someone else, or that you do not have the right to share.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Roommate. This includes harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, discrimination, impersonation, scams, and content that is violent or degrading. Accounts that post it are removed.
5. Reporting and blocking
Every profile and conversation has a report option and a block option. Blocking someone stops all contact between you in both directions.
We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and act on them within 24 hours, which may include removing content and removing the account responsible.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first.
6. Listings, introductions and your own judgement
Roommate introduces people to each other. We are not a party to any tenancy, sublet, payment or other arrangement you make, and we do not act as an agent, landlord or broker for those arrangements.
We do not verify listings, identities, ownership or the condition of any property. Treat everything on the platform as information provided by another user.
Meet in a public place first where you can, view a property in person before paying anything, and never send money or documents to someone you have not met and verified. Use your own judgement and take normal precautions.
7. Things you must not do
Do not use the service for anything unlawful, and do not post listings you have no right to offer.
Do not scrape, copy or bulk-collect other users' data, do not attempt to break or overload the service, and do not use it to send spam or advertising.
Do not attempt to get around a block, a suspension or a removal.
8. Our content
The Roommate name, the software, the design and the site content belong to us or to our licensors. You may use the service as intended, but you may not copy or reuse those materials without our permission.
9. Ending your use of the service
You may stop using Roommate at any time and delete your account from your profile settings in the app or on the website. Deleting your account removes your profile from the platform; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
10. No warranty
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise that you will find a room, a property or a roommate through it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or data, or for the acts of other users — including anything that happens in a tenancy, payment or meeting arranged through the platform.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Georgian law.
12. Changes
We may change the service and these terms. If a change is significant we will give notice in the app or on the website before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Georgia.
